In a recent study published in Nature, Kruse et al. demonstrated an indirect tumor-killing mechanism orchestrated by a small number of CD4+ effector T cells. These CD4+ T cells can reprogram myeloid cells not just into IFNγ-induced antigen-presenting cells but also into iNOS-expressing tumoricidal effectors that can eradicate immune-evasive tumors.Copyright © 2023 The Authors.
