The global burden of colorectal cancer is expected to increase more than 60% by 2030; however, compelling evidence now shows that the implementation of population screening programs in developed countries has led to a substantial reduction in incidence and mortality.1,2 Despite this, patients continue to develop preventable colorectal cancers, in part because of high rates of interval colon cancer diagnosed after screening or surveillance colonoscopies.3.Crown Copyright © 2023.
